About PAID

The Natural Disaster Insurance Pool (PAID) is an insurance-reinsurance company, with private capital, formed by the association of insurance companies for the conclusion of compulsory home insurance, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 260/2008.

 

PAID was established as an insurance company in November 2009, by the association of 12 insurance companies (ABC Asigurari, Astra Asigurari, Carpatica Asig, Certasig, City Insurance, Credit Europe Asigurari, Euroins Romania, Generali, Grawe Romania, Groupama Romania, Platinum Insurance and Uniqa Insurance), PAID shareholders.

 

 

According to the law, PAID administers the compulsory home insurance system, which covers three basic risks specific to Romania: - Earthquake - Floods - Landslides.

 

The activity of the PAID insurance company in Romania PAID started in February 2010, and the first day of issuing the compulsory home insurance was on July 15, 2010.

We are united by the same responsibility, so our goal is to provide financial protection against the 3 risks to all homeowners in Romania.
